The 200 Club is a fundraising scheme for Kingston Reading Room. It is run from October to September with monthly draws sharing the ticket sales with the Reading Room.

Rules for the Kingston Reading Room 200 club
- The 200 club is limited to residents and holiday home or second home owners in Kingston Parish and their immediate families aged 16 and over. This limitation is required under the rules for a Small Society Lottery.
- Tickets are sold in September and October each year and draws are made at the last Tuesday Morning Market of each month from October to September. Payment may be by cash, cheque or online bank transfer. If a standing order is set up it should be payable on
15th September each year and notified to the organiser. - Tickets are £10 each and are individually numbered.
- The prize fund consists of 50% of the total ticket sales with the balance going to the general
fund of the Reading Room. - The monthly prize fund is calculated as the total ticket sales divided by 24 and rounded down to the nearest £5. The balance to make 50% is drawn as an extra prize in the December draw.
- For example:
o if the fund is £2,000 with 200 tickets sold;
o the monthly draw totals £2,000/24 = £83.33, rounded down to £80; and
o the December draw is £80 plus one extra draw of £40 (£3.33 x 12).
o Hence the total prize fund is £80 x 12 + £40 = £1,000. - The number of tickets drawn over the year from October to September are around 25% to 30% of the total number sold.
- The monthly prizes and the extra December prize range from £10 to £25 as decided by the Reading Room Management Committee.
- Unclaimed prizes are retained by the Reading Room.
